I've been doing theatre practically my whole life. I was not a kid that did dance recitals from age 2, but fairly close. My first show was in elementary school. I bravely auditioned with two prepared songs by Mac Davis.
Perhaps, I should have realized back then, that I was not meant to sing for a living, because given the choice to sing just one song, I did not pick the ever popular "Stop and Smell the Roses."
Nope.
My very first show at 8 years old was singing "One Hell of a Woman" for the school talent show.
